LOCKREACH / AUTOMOTIVE LOCKSMITH

Your car. Your keys. Your next move.

The keys are visible on the seat. Unfortunately, that does not make them any closer. Whether you are locked out or have lost the only working key, the first useful details are your vehicle and its exact location.

Locked out or missing the key?

These are different jobs. A car lockout involves getting access to the vehicle. Replacing a lost key can involve cutting and programming, depending on the model and key system. Let us know which situation you are dealing with so support can be checked before a visit.

Have the make, model and year ready. It also helps to know whether the car uses a traditional key, a remote-head key or a push-button start. If you are unsure, describe the key you had. A remote that looks identical online may still be incompatible with the vehicle.

Service availability varies by vehicle. We confirm whether the requested work is supported and explain what information is needed. Proof of ownership and identification are part of arranging legitimate access or key work.

Give us the side of the street

A Bronx address may put a caller on the opposite side of a broad road from the parked car. Include the nearest intersection and the side of the street or parking area. In a garage, the level and entry restrictions matter as much as the street address.

Stay out of moving traffic while you wait. If the car is in an unsafe position, say so immediately. A child, vulnerable person or animal in danger inside a vehicle is an emergency for 911, not a situation to wait out while arranging routine locksmith service.

If the keys have disappeared completely, take a moment to check whether you still have a working spare. That changes the options and can help narrow the work required. There is no need to buy a replacement fob before compatibility has been checked.

When a key is present but the car will not respond

A worn key, a damaged remote and a vehicle-side fault can look similar from the driver's seat. Explain what still works: the mechanical door lock, the remote buttons or the ignition. A car that will not start is not automatically a programming job.

If the key will not turn, avoid forcing it. If the remote buttons stop responding but the vehicle still recognizes the key, describe that distinction. The more accurately the symptom is described, the easier it is to check whether a locksmith is the right next call.

LockReach's automotive page covers car lockouts and supported replacement-key work. We do not advertise universal vehicle coverage. Call for a compatibility check, an estimate and current mobile availability in your part of the Bronx.
