Start with the doors you use
A house with more than one entrance and an apartment with a managed lobby present different questions. List the doors you want checked, then separate private locks from shared building hardware. That keeps the proposed work focused on what you can authorize.
A rekey may be suitable if the locks are compatible and in good condition. If the hardware is worn, we can discuss repair or replacement. There is no need to buy new hardware before the existing door has been assessed.
A lock that changes with the way the door closes
Does the key turn normally with the door open? Do you have to lift the handle or pull the door inward? Those small observations can help explain a recurring problem. A new cylinder alone will not correct every alignment issue.
If you are considering a keypad or smart lock, first check the door type and any building requirements. The useful starting point is how you want the door to work, including everyday entry and backup access. Product compatibility should be confirmed before purchase.
Arrange the visit around the property
Give the full address and the entrance you use. If a doorman, gate or building rule affects access, explain it during the call. For a vehicle, include the parking location and the make, model and year so supported service can be checked.
For an urgent lockout, call for a current arrival estimate. For a planned change, explore rekeying and home lock services before choosing the scope.
