One building, more than one kind of access
The Concourse is known for its Art Deco apartment buildings, including distinctive brickwork, curved forms and geometric entrances. Those architectural details give the neighborhood its character. The hardware behind each door still needs to be assessed on its own.
A shared entrance, an intercom-controlled door and an apartment lock may have different owners and service arrangements. Before a visit, identify the actual door that needs help. For shared systems, having the superintendent or managing agent involved can save a separate appointment.
Keep what works
An older lock does not automatically need to be discarded. If the hardware is sound and compatible, a rekey may address a change in who should have access. A worn mechanism or poor alignment calls for a closer look. Replacement parts need to match the door's preparation.
If you have been pulling the door toward you just to turn the key, mention it. That detail is more useful than guessing the lock's brand. We discuss the fault and the available approach before starting work.
Finding the right entrance
Provide the full building number, nearest cross street and entrance location. If the access is on a side street, say so when you call. For an apartment visit, tell us whether you can enter the lobby and whether building access needs to be arranged.
Call LockReach for current availability. We can discuss residential lock work, rekeying or an urgent lockout based on the door and your situation.
